Your arrival in the Erding tourist region

 

Whether coming by plane, train or car – the Erding tourist region is fast and easy to reach thanks to its central proximity to the gates of the state capital of Munich as well as excellent connections for all forms of transport. Munich airport is only a few minutes by car from the town centre of Erding. Using the S-Bahn (suburban train service) from Erding or the local trains from Dorfen you are already a part of the German railway system. If you are travelling by car the motorways and trunk roads lead you from all points of the compass directly to our beautiful tourist region in the heart of Upper Bavaria.

Coming by plane

Munich airport is only 13 km from the town centre of Erding. The 512 bus goes almost hourly between[S1] Erding and the airport. 

Coming by train

The town of Erding can be reached by train using the Munich S-Bahn number 2 (Erding-Petershausen. The S-Bahn trains terminate in Erding every twenty minutes. You can get to Dorfen every hour or so using the local and regional trains on the Munich - Mühldorf line. Another stop on this line is Hörlkofen but the stations at Walpertskirchen and Thann-Matzbach are only served 3 to 5 times a day.

Travelling in the tourist region

By car:

If you want to visit the town of Erding by car we suggest you use the car parks which are signposted.

By bus:

In Erding itself travelling on the town busses is easy and comfortable.
