From classical music & jazz to pop & rock
The Erding chamber orchestra and symphony orchestra, for example, carry the fine art of music beyond the borders of their local region. The Stadtkapelle Erding (Erding’s town band) have committed themselves completely to Bavarian-Bohemian brass band music as well as compositions for symphonic wind instruments.
Of course the local music scene has something to offer for the young and the young-at-heart. Special concerts occasions are the Erding Jazz Days, the Sinnflut cultural spectacle and the Erding Organ Week. Current events can be found in our event calendar.
KulTour-Nacht (cul-tour night) „The night of the big surprises“
A pub festival with live concerts of all genres of music in the prettiest locations takes place in the centres of Erding and Dorfen. During the 30 minute intervals the guests have the chance to continue their personal cul-tour by moving on to the next pub and music of their choice.

Folk music days in Erding
Bavarian love of life and culture can be truly felt during these delightful performances by groups of folk musicians and dancers and will surely infect you and sweep you along too.

Sinnflut - cultural spectacle

Jazz in Taufkirchen's castle

Weiher-Feia or Pond Party
Erding’s largest beach party at Kronthaler Weiher (pond). Business is already flourishing in the beer garden and it’s not yet midday but in the evening the party really takes off when Radio Rock Antenne and live music let loose.

Belcanto Evening in Dorfen
The Lower Market Square transforms into an opera stage of the special kind when Dr Franz Erl presents a selection of historical recordings from his collection of rare records, adding information and anecdotes. Wine and finger food are served.

Erding's Organ Week
During this week international musicians are guests in the late-Gothic town parish church and will transport you to a very special atmosphere when you hear the magnificent Rieger organ which is equipped with three manuals, 50 registers and 3,500 pipes.

Erding's Jazz Days
This is a chance to listen to and experience many aspects of jazz from Dixieland and swing to Gospel and spirituals. Numerous stars from international and German bands have been invited to the large county town of Erding which mutates into a metropolis of jazz during that weekend.
